Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

FolderTint is built to keep your data where it belongs: on your PC. This page explains exactly what the app stores, where, and what (if anything) leaves your machine.

What FolderTint stores, and where

What leaves your PC

Nothing that identifies you or your folders. FolderTint has no user accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no telemetry. The app makes no network connections of its own.

The only online interaction related to FolderTint is the Microsoft Store itself, which handles the app's download, purchase, trial status, and refunds. That interaction is governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement. FolderTint asks Windows whether a valid license is present; it never sees your payment details, name, or email.

What we collect about you

Nothing. We could not sell your data even if we wanted to, because we never receive any.

Uninstalling

Uninstalling FolderTint removes the app. Folders you colored keep their look until you restore them (a colored folder is just a Windows folder with standard customization). Your library data in %LocalAppData%\FolderTint can be deleted manually if you wish.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
